The SmartAgriHubs project will come to an end this November. To celebrate the achievements of the 4 year project, SmartAgriHubs will host a 3-day conference from the 26th to 28th September in Lisbon, Portugal. The event will gather partners, experts, and members of the European institutions to discuss the results of the project and its ongoing legacy.
SmartAgri Hubs
This €20 million Horizon 2020 project brought together a consortium of 164 partners in the European agri-food sector. The project aimed to boost the digitisation of European agriculture by developing an agricultural innovation ecosystem dedicated to excellence, sustainability and success. By connecting agricultural and IT innovation, SmartAgriHubs extended digital solutions to the agri-food sector and helped farmers and their businesses to achieve real and attainable results. An 'Innovation Portal' lay at the heart of the SmartAgriHubs community, gathering more than 800 organisations and 3500 users.
Final Conference
Whilst day 1 of the final event is for members of the SmartAgriHubs project, day 2 & 3 - the synergy days, are open to all. Focusing specifically on the development of agri-tech, workshops and presentations will explore future ag sustainability, tech uptake and tackling inequality, to name but a few focus areas. Participants will be able to choose from over 40 different workshops, hosted by a range of speakers including the NEFERTITI projct and the FAIRshare project, both of which IfA have also played a key role.
